Warranties are only as good as the track record of the manufacturer. Look for companies who have been in business for over 10 years. It is a good idea to consider a company whose models are kept the same for several years so that parts will be available for a longer period of time. A warranty should include local service. Look for a warranty that does not have conditions attached, such as returning the product to the manufacturer in the original packaging, or excluding normal wear and tear or that does not provide for long-term parts availability and local service.
